MP reacts to Oldham foodbank statistics 

From 1st January to 31st December 2017, 7,078 three day emergency food supplies were provided to local people in crisis by Oldham Foodbank, compared to 5,554 during the same period in 2016. Of this number, 2,425 went to children.  The dedication shown by the volunteers

Debbie: help us defend free school meals

I am backing calls by The Children’s Society for the Government to rethink their plans around free school meals under Universal Credit. Currently, as Universal Credit is rolled out, all children who live in a household receiving this new benefit will receive a free school meal.
