Congratulations to Andrew Robinson and Elaine Stoneman, who have received the UK Points of Light award for the work they have done encouragement more parents to get involved with ‘Parents of Oldham in Touch’ (POINT), a children’s
special needs charity.
Andrew and Elaine, who have experienced struggles looking after their son Joshua (13) who has autism, are an inspiration to their community, Their work to encourage many more parents to attend POINT has resulted in increasing the group from 50 to around 650, a 13-fold increase.
Many congratulations to Andrew and Elaine. There are many hundreds of parents, children and families across Oldham who have benefited from their hard work over the last few years and so it’s richly deserved that they have been recognised with this UK Points of Light award.
